Nix started the exhibition game and was involved in two series. He managed an impressive 8-of-9 passing for 80 yards with a touchdown. The touchdown was a 2-yard throw to receiver Tim Patrick. Nix also showed his versatility by rushing for 12 yards on three carries.
Nix's short touchdown pass was a pivotal moment in the game, capping off an 11-play, 80-yard drive.
